Ashly Gillis PT, DPT, ATC

Ashly breathes sport.

Specializing in injury prevention and return-to-sport protocols, she has a profound passion to maximize the performance of athletes.  Ashly holds a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from California State University, Sacramento and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training.

An active resident of Truckee, Ashly previously worked for six years with an amazing team of specialists at Tahoe Forest Physical Therapy. She was instrumental in developing the current ACL post-op protocols and in leading the ACL rehabilitation classes.  She has worked with both individuals and teams, including collegiate teams across varied sports. 

She has decided to rethink performance by starting her own independent clinic. In this way, she is free to meet the needs of athletes of all ages.

Tav Streit, DPT

Tav brings over 15 years of experience in orthopedic and sports physical therapy, with a strong foundation in athletic coaching and human performance.

After earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Utah, Tav worked with athletes of all ages and levels—from youth competitors to elite professionals—helping them optimize movement, recover from injury, and return to peak performance. His diverse background includes coaching Division I Nordic ski teams and developing science-based training programs for endurance athletes. Tav is known for his thoughtful, individualized care, deep understanding of biomechanics, and passion for empowering athletes to reach their full potential.

With roots in both coaching and science, Tav’s approach blends hands-on skill with evidence-based practice. He continues to stay involved in the local athletic community, coaching junior Nordic skiers and mentoring youth runners and skiers at the middle school level.

PT Assistant & Top Dog

Nugget is the most genuinely excited member of Athlete’s Edge. She has been working as a therapy dog since she was 6 months old. Nugget has her Canine Good Citizen Certificate and is a registered member of the PAT (Pet Assisted Therapy) Program through the Humane Society. She loves to eat, earn treats and most importantly sleep.
